To manage their material handling needs, Midstate's forklift fleet includes six 3,000-lb. capacity FGC15N Mitsubishi forklift trucks, one 4,000-lb capacity forklift and three PMW23 electric walkies. Midstate's Mitsubishi forklift trucks are called on to pull product off the palletizers and move them to warehouses. The fast-moving company loads trailers in one shift, but the pallet operation can run two or three shifts, requiring total reliability in a dusty, rugged environment.
Midstate recently acquired seven new forklifts through a five-year lease that includes a Master Maintenance® program with routine quarterly servicing. This aspect is critical for a lean company that relies on every piece of equipment and in an industry where keeping pace with safety standards is a top priority.
